COURSE DESCRIPTION

Critical Thinking with Coding Level 2 is an introduction to programming and computational concepts. The course is designed for students who have no prior coding experience. Students learn how to design and create animations, stories, and games using a visual coding environment while developing various computational concepts. This course aims to develop a basic understanding of commands, sequences, loops, events, and conditionals. After basic coding skills are established, students work on independent projects of their interest and present them to their peers.

COURSE FORMAT

The course consists of semi-private lessons delivered online via Zoom. Participants need access to working computers with high-speed internet. Students also need access to a printer to prepare course materials. Detailed instructions are provided for participation in the course.

About Instructors

Genta
Genta is an instructional designer and a technology instructor. He holds an MEd in Learning Design and Technologies and an MS in Information and Computer Sciences from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. His career as a software engineer spans over 15 years with a specialization in educational technology. Given his strong background in both education and technology, he is highly passionated to foster future technology professionals. He oversees the course design and development of THINKOLOGY’s programs and provides instructional and technical assistance to teachers.
